SERVICE TERMS
Service and responsibility terms – SPD PC Build
Every PC is built with care — from cable routing and system setup to performance and stability testing. Below you will find the terms covering service responsibility, upgrades and component trade-in.
Assembly and configuration responsibility
I am responsible for the correct performance of the assembly and configuration service. If, within 14 days of collection, a problem is caused by an assembly or configuration error, I will correct it at no additional charge.
Components and manufacturer warranty
I am not responsible for manufacturing defects, damage or failures in components supplied by the customer. Claims relating to defective parts should be directed to the retailer or manufacturer. My assembly work does not invalidate a manufacturer warranty unless the specific manufacturer’s terms state otherwise.
Used hardware and recommendations
Recommendations for second-hand PCs or components are advisory. I cannot be responsible for later faults, problems or misrepresentation of used equipment purchased from third parties on the basis of such a recommendation.
Reporting a problem
Questions or issues relating to completed work can be reported by email to [email protected], najlepiej z opisem problemu oraz — jeśli to możliwe — zdjęciami lub komunikatem błędu.
PC collection
On collection, the customer confirms that the system is working and that the agreed scope of work has been completed.
PC UPGRADES
I mainly upgrade newer platforms
My aim is to carry out upgrades that make genuine technical and financial sense. On older systems, replacing individual parts may bring little benefit, while replacing the CPU, motherboard and RAM effectively becomes a new platform build.
INTEL
10th-generation Core and newer
I work on Intel platforms based on 10th-generation Core i3/i5/i7/i9 processors and newer.
AMD
Ryzen 3000 and newer
I work on AMD platforms based on Ryzen 3/5/7 3000-series processors and newer.
WHY?
An upgrade should genuinely improve the PC, not simply extend an old platform at any cost.
If an older platform would require replacing most of its key components, I will recommend a more cost-effective long-term solution rather than an expensive partial upgrade.
PC UPGRADE WITH COMPONENT TRADE-IN
How are old components valued?
For selected upgrades, you can trade in working components to reduce the labour cost or the amount payable when moving to new parts.
Real market values
I check up to three completed Allegro Lokalnie transactions or three identical or closely comparable items currently listed on OLX, then calculate an indicative average market value.
Condition
Each component is assessed visually and technically in the condition in which it is supplied. I do not clean or test components before valuation.
Acceptance
After the valuation, the customer decides whether to proceed. Only fully working and stable components are accepted, after the proposed value has been agreed.
What can be accepted?
This may include CPUs, graphics cards, RAM, motherboards, PSUs, cases and other working components where a trade-in makes sense.
What is not accepted?
HDDs, SSDs, USB drives or other storage media are not accepted, for data-security and privacy reasons.
The agreed component value is deducted from the labour cost of the upgrade or from the amount payable when moving to new components.
In short: I check realistic market prices, calculate an average, assess the condition and agree the trade-in value with the customer.
PAYMENT
Clear service pricing
The scope and price are agreed before work begins. Services can be invoiced through Useme.
Private customer
Before work begins, we confirm the scope, price and how the equipment will be handed over.
Business customer
The service can be invoiced through Useme.
